With varying metallic tones, the Golden Drawings glow softly in the light. The metal pigments quietly speak of value and seduction, gilded architecture, standards and currency, and economic systems. Yet the drawings, themselves, are small improvisational collages, assembled intuitively like musical riffs. Some include pencil or ink lines spaced, like measurements, in even increments, while others display expressively painted areas. The Golden Drawings are singular works that stand beautifully alone and when arranged in groups.
